We all have challenges that we want to overcome, but struggle overcoming them. In my field, most people want to lose weight, lose body fat, get toned or have some kind of fitness goal in mind. There is advice that I give to help them overcome their struggles and achieve their goals, but ultimately it depends on the choices they make when I am not there. It takes a very disciplined person or goal oriented person to make great achievements and part of my job is instilling a sense of discipline and help my clients make realistic goals.
Here are a few simple things you can do to better ensure success with overcoming your challenges:
1. Make realistic goals, write them down and place them where you can see them everyday!
This can be on a sticky note on your bathroom mirror or on your work desk or a reminder note on your phone that pops up everyday. It is part of the mental process of success to remind yourself of your goals and to tell yourself you can do it!
2. Tell 3 people of your goal or goals.
When you tell people about your goals, it validates that goal. Something clicks in your brain that "Yep, this is what I have to do". Not only does it validate your goal, but now you have people asking you how it is going and that gives you accountability.
Simply doing these 2 things can make your chances of success far greater. They are not hard to do and they do not take a lot of time so no excuses for not trying them!
