Hey Guys! Im back after my 3-week juicing adventure and inspired to teach you more! I wanted to share a few recipes that I use as my natural antiviral and antibacterial cures for the common cold and flu.
1) 10 oz hot water
1 tbsp unrefined coconut oil
1 tbsp raw honey
take morning and evening 2x daily
2) 4 oz juice (I like pomegranate)
20 drops of grapefruit seed extract
take 3x daily until 100% cured
3) boil 4 oz water
add 1/4 c apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp raw honey
1 tsp cayenne pepper
squeeze of lemon
take 3-5x daily
You can Take 1 & 2 at the same time or 1 & 3, but no need for all 3.
If you do not like the coconut water, you can also make a green smoothie and add a tbsp of coconut oil to the smoothie (make sure it is liquid). You wont even taste it and the green smoothie will give you a great boost of Vitamins and Antioxidants. I do this often as well. I have smoothie recipes on a previous blog :)
Why Apple cider vinegar?
Cold viruses tend to put the body into an overly acidic state, which makes it difficult for the immune system to fight disease. Taking apple cider vinegar will help not only kill a cold but also squash its miserable symptoms. Mixing a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with warm water, honey, and lemon, and drinking the concoction several times a day will have you back to health in no time.
Why Coconut Oil?
Coconut oil has an amazing ability to target virtually any virus, including cold viruses. Rich in medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), coconut oil absorbs directly into viral cells where it breaks apart and disintegrates the protective coating of the virus, effectively killing it. Taking a tablespoon or two daily of unrefined coconut oil, especially at the onset of cold symptoms, it can effectively stop the virus from spreading.
