Okay! The Final results from my 3-week juicing challenge were quite positive. As you can see from the picture, my stomach and back slimmed down the most, which is what I was hoping for. My top goals, though, were not physical. I was wanting my hormones to straighten out, my joints to feel better and my acid reflux to subside. My hormones may be better, I am not sure though without a test. I do know that this is the first time in 6 months, that I haven't had a period every other week. My stomach has not hurt at all and my joints are much better. They do not ache all the time, as they did before. I do have knee issues when I squat or run still but that is cartilage issues from wearing them down with sports.
I have gotten compliments that I am "glowing" during the last 3 weeks.
As far as the measurements: I lost 6 pounds, 12 inches and 1.5% body fat. And that is with no running or jumping or crazy workouts. I do weight training for an hour 2-3x per week and 2-20-30 minute cardio sessions on the bike. So my results were pretty dependent on my drinking juice and eating clean! I was most surprised by the 12 inches! I am really pumped about that! Since I am so tall, I don't always notice progress because I lose a little here and there, but it all adds up!
I had a great time, learned a lot and found some great new recipes over the last 3 weeks. I am hoping to stick with doing a juice a day with clean eating, like I have been doing these last 2 weeks! I used to have a diet soda every once in a while and I am hoping that mineral water with lime will kill that craving. I am in love with my Vitamix and cannot wait to make crackers, bread, more almond butter, more hummus and MORE! I am positive that I will use it EVERYDAY!
