One more day down in this 3-week venture! It has actually gone by fast and I have enjoyed the results. I no longer have achy joints. Remember my knees, shoulders and back were aching all the time. My acid reflux is at bay and has been since I started. I can't say if my hormones are better (I would say no, instinctively), but overall feeling great! Not gonna lie, I have been a little gasey since I started putting more food back into my diet, though. :/
Okay, so lets talk about today. Today was deemed a cleaning day at my house so it was easy enough to make all my meals since I was home most the day. I woke up hungry (rare), like stomach growling. I made my 6 egg whites (equals 1 cup) and mixed in about 1/2 cup of leftover quinoa salad (pictured above). I boiled some water for my hot lemon water, and squeezed a whole lemon into the water. And then the cleaning began! I still had stuff from Christmas that needed to be washed and put away and boxes thrown away! Along with that I vacuumed, swept, mopped and wiped everything down. About 12:30 I was ready for a protein shake, so I made my typical shake with almond milk, frozen blueberries, and a scoop of NanoPro protein. This was just to hold me over while I ran a few errands. I had to run to walmart and grab a few things for Snap and then stop over at Snap for a few minutes. I sent some pictures from my phone to walgreens to be printed, to pick up later and was back to work cleaning off my porch. I put a salmon in the oven and some quinoa on the stove as I cleaned the porch off. I seasoned my quinoa simply with olive oil, sea salt and pepper and then added some salsa to it before I ate it. I cut up some carrots with my lunch as well and dipped them in hummus. This meal tasted amazing and I washed it down with a NanoLean to give me a boost of afternoon energy. I had been working from 9-3 so decided to take a food/movie break (it is Saturday after all!). I watched The Butler, great movie by the way.
It was about 5:30pm when the movie was done, so I jumped in the car and went to grab my pictures from walgreens. I switched out some pics in some frames when I got home (okay fine-I put pictures in frames that I've had out for 8 months with the staged picture in them--ha!) and then went back to cleaning.
I made my juice for supper and it was: collard leaves, cucumber, apple, carrots, coconut water, ginger and protein powder. Really good actually. Sipping on my juice as I relax for the evening, dog by my side :)
