I started off the day with an interesting tasting juice with my egg whites today! I had my 6 egg whites with cilantro, jalapeno and hot sauce. I drank a mug of warm water and a full lemon squeezed in it. The juice recipe was 1 handful kale, 1 handful cilantro, 8 stalks celery and 1 apple. Let me tell you, it was tart! I added a little squeeze of Agave to make it edible.
I felt much better this morning then yesterday. I give props to the protein for that! Felt much more energetic today, but a little sore from my workout yesterday! I did manage to do another workout today, mostly cardio. I ate some pieces of turkey, carrots, a glass of almond milk and hummus for lunch, after my workout. And then I made a batch of "pecan butter" (I wanted to make almond butter but I ran out of almonds). I tasted it at lunch time put didn't eat much until my snack later, when I cut up an apple and dipped it in the pecan butter, YUM! That snack was quite filling, so I just made a simple protein shake for supper: Almond milk, cacao nibs and protein powder. I sipped on my mineral water with fresh lime squeezed in it all day, as usual. It is very refreshing!
p.s. I love my VITAMIX! That is what I used for my pecan butter today!
