Juicing Adventure: A New Week: Day 8

Alright, 1 week down and 2 to go!

Monday felt like a bit of an off day.  I felt pretty tired all day with achy muscles.  I took this as a sign that I needed so amp up the protein, so that is what I did.  I started off the day with 6 egg whites and I mixed cilantro, tomato, jalapeno, avocado and hot sauce in them.  I also had a mug full of warm water with a full lemon squeezed in it (this is recommended every morning to flush out toxins first thing).  I forgot to mention, I cook my eggs with a tsp of coconut oil.  The healthy fats in coconut oil act as a carrier for all those good nutrients to be transported to my cells and those fats also help your body shrink the fat cells it already has.  

I left the house with my water bottle full of mineral water with lemon and went to teach Abs Class at Snap Fitness (our 12:15pm class).  It was my first workout since starting this "juicing adventure".  I would say it went pretty well.  I was lacking a little "it" factor, but could finish and felt pretty good!  After my workout  I came home to make juice for lunch.  I made a new recipe called "Beat the Bulge": 2 Chard Leaves, 1 Handful of Mint, 2 Cucumbers and 1/2 Beet; also added 1 scoop of protein powder.  This juice had a little more of a hard core taste to it, but I managed to get it down.  I had a few slices of turkey and two pickles as well.  I took an apple to go when I left and had it as a snack an hour later.  

As a mid-afternoon snack, I munched on some carrots and hummus and then made a protein shake for an early supper.  My recipe was 2 cups almond milk, 1 tbsp peanut butter, a scoop of BioParma Vanilla protein and ice.  I was hungry a few hours later so had a boiled egg and some more carrots and hummus. My muscles started feeling better and I felt a little more "alive" around 7pm.  

Feeling much more energetic this morning and well rested.  Last week kind of wore me down with a hectic week, but feeling strong again this Tuesday morning!
