Juicing Adventure: Day 1

                                                              Juicing Adventure: Day 1

Today went pretty well.  I started the day with a detox recipe that isn't the greatest tasting but not too bad. I'm not a picky eater/juicer at all, but this stuff tastes a little GREEN-ish.  Haha.  I think it also has to do with I am new with the Vitamix so I am still figuring out blending technique.

I started out the day sipping on my green smoothie while doing some paperwork.  Before I left my house I blended up another full blender of juice and put it in a thermos because I knew there was a good chance I would not be home for lunch.  I left the thermos in my car all day and when I got out of a meeting at 1:00 (starving) I took a gulp and it had thickened up quite a bit...ucky...but when your starving you fight through it!  I took a few gulps and finished my errands.  When I got home I mixed it with some ice and coconut water and all was GOOD :)

I poured my water into a cup with a straw and put some blueberries and chia seeds in it to sip on all day.  The detox I am doing recommended chia seeds, psyllium husk or some kind of fiber supplement to take during the juicing to make sure you have enough fiber.

I just read it said something about adding pink himalayan salt to your water as well---will have to look more into that.  I know it has a high mineral count, just not sure where to get it or if it has to be online.

So the afternoon went pretty well too, I actually felt very energized.  I have ALOT of work to do so that could be a part of staying energized too because as soon as 7:00PM came, I hit a WALL!  I was starving by about 6:00PM today then was busy so it went away.  When I got home about 7:30PM I contemplated just going to bed because I was exhausted but I made my juice--this time a little different recipe--BEETS, yay!  Overall it was a good day and looking forward to BED :)

Here are the recipes I used in my first two meals:
1/2 cucumber
3 celery stalks
2 carrrots
1 apple
1/2 inch of ginger root
2 handfuls spinach
1/2 lemon (squeezed in after blended)
1 cup ice

The last juice:
1/4 beet
2 celery stalks
1 apple
1/2 inch ginger root
1 cup spinach
2 kiwis
1/2 lemon
1 cup ice

Yummy!  Questions? Call/Email/Text Me

Yummy! My mouth is literally become watery right after heading to this post. These ingredients are very good to prepare the best healthy juice for myself because they all have fruits and vitamins and not any artificial thing. Anyways I like the unique juicing idea of “Ashlee Schneider”.
